Rainbow Beach, south of Fraser Island, Queensland (16th – 19th June 2011)

And further north we go over to Rainbow Beach with its 74 different colour sands in the Great Sandy National Park just off the southern tip of Fraser Island (largest sand island in the world). Wow its another wonderland of pristine sand and crystal blue sea! ( now on the South Pacific Ocean). Sand cliffs ranging in colour from pure white, oranges, ochres right through to black.
We met up with our newly made friends Gary and Kirsty Hall and the lads, camped right next to us at Rainbow Beach campsite. Having a fantastic few days with them exploring the beach and bush walking up to Carlo Sandblow, and then driving along sandy tracks and the beach in their 4WD. Great fun!
