We saw the world’s largest Amethyst geode at The Crystal Caves in Atherton, standing 3.5 metres tall and weighing 2.7 tonnes. It was amazing! It was brought to Australia by Rene Boissevain who is a collector of fossils and crystals from all over the world. He has created an underground museum of his finds called The Crystal Caves…….. fascinating stuff.
